Hi. Have you already made contact with the California Doners? Edith Doner Halbert and Minnie(Mary) Doner Braunston are still alive, but Josephine(Jo) Doner DeHorton passed away several years ago. I have info on Marcel and Frances and their daughters and grandchildren, but really nothing to speak of regarding Menasha. We do have a copy of a photo of Menasha and his wife Sara that I could scan if you don't already have a copy.

My husband's Doner line: Menasha Doner is my husband's great-grandfather, Marcel (born 1890 in Romania) is his grandfather, and Edith is his mother. Marcel's wife Frances Hirsch (Fany Herisescu on her Romanian birth certificate) is my husband's grandmother. Marcel tried to sponsor his mother Sara and brother Oscar to come to the United States in the 1920's, but could not get approval from the US Government. Oscar survived WWII and emigrated from Romania to Israel.

What info do you have on Menasha's family or background? Is Menasha's sister the "Mima Leah" (Aunt Leah) that Edith and Minnie(Mary) remember? Whatever info you have on the Doner family, I would definitely be interested.
