Myrtle Martha Delaney Doniphan/ Danafin

My mother's half sister Myrtle Martha Delaney was born 4-Nov.-1917 in Kentucky, she married a Danafin or Doniphin, Donaphan, spelled many ways. The last I heard of her, she lived in Florida, I think she died there. Any info appreciated, thanks, email mfair@kc.rr.com, Marilyn M Fair

Your Alexander is also an ancestor of mine, through Mott, Alexander (b. 1716), Joseph, and then Margaret, who married John Hockaday. Alexander and Margaret Mott is as far back as I go. Do your notes you mentions take you back farther? If so please share. Thanks.

Need help with an Eliza Jane Doniphan born 1808 in Scioto Co. Ohio. Married Foster Mullis of Adams Co. Ohio and died after 1885.

My mother's aunt was Lizzie Olive. Dorsey was her uncle. I have a painting that he did back in the thirties.

Dorthy, Do you know where in England he was from,? I think it is George Mott who was her father, he had only daughters. His brother John, I read died without children. I don't have my notes, I think his daughter Ann Doniphan Married Stephen Hansford, their daughter Ann Hansford married James Tutt, I decend from them, There were several Hansford Tutt's that were named for her. I too am related to the Alexander Doniphan who married Margaret Mott daughter of John Mott. My data says he was born in 1650 and emigrated to Va in 1674. My grand Father was Alexander Slaughter Doniphan who was born in Fredricksburg. Va in 1867. My great grand father was Edward Dorsey Doniphan who married Mary Livingston of New York.

You are the only one on this board, The Doniphan I am related to was so far back, Alexander Doniphan born 1653, he came to va 1600's i don't have my notes from England, He married Margaret mott they lived in Rappahannock county va, Since they don't have message boards maybe they are all related to them, or him he had children by a first wife Amy, and I don't know if he had any by his third.
