Does anyone know anything about the Donnellys of Caherdaniel? My great grandfather was John Donnelly married to Nora Devane. I don't know the year he was born but he died at the age of 68 in Paddington in 1958. His brothers included Michael, Dennis (wife - Eileen), Tayd? and James. I think he was with the merchant navy and while he was stationed in Swansea, my grandmother, Mary Beatrice Donnelly (later Rees) was born in 1913. He was with the Irish National Service during WW2. His name on that document is Sean O'Donighaile?
His children were Mary, Bridget, Eileen, Noni? and Michael.
My father, Michael Rees, lived in Caherdaniel from about the age of 3 to 8 years of age, during WW2 and after. He attended school.
Nora Devane died in Tralee from TB.
