I am also a Donner. I've started looking for ancestry from Bernard and Mary Shanley Donner. These are my Great-great Grandparents. Their son Michael was my great g.f. His son John was my grandfather. Alvin Francis was my father. Trying to get past Bernard and Mary but hit a road block. Going to Ireland and would like to know where they are from. Any hints?
Your grandfather was my grandfather's brother. Mine was older i believe.
