Hi have just spotted your posting for John Joseph Murphy also mentioning a brother Denis. My Great and Grandfather and Father all called by this name from Ahane Brosna which all fits with Knocknagoshel and Castleisland (parishes changed etc and listed differently)in some records the Murphys from Ahane were all related as far as I can tell - your post has give me great hope as it my Great Granny who wed J J Murphy am trying to trace am trying to establish a link with John Murphy and Hanoria (Nora)Collins they were born around 1830s and wed around 1860 records missing around then. My known facts as follows are: John Joseph Murphy 1894-5.12.1973 death in Tralee Hospital he was wed to my Gran Mary Mamie Sexton 1903-1991 they wed 1922 in Brosna My Great Grandfather John Joseph Murphy was on their marriage cert as a labourer the had Sons Thomas and Denis and John Joseph (my dad)1928-2009 they also had 7 daughters sure this will be useful for you as indeed your info is to me also nearly forgot SULLIVAN name always mention in my family and one of my cousins who is an actress had to change her name for her equity card and she used SULLIVAN as her stage name good luck to you Bridget Murphy
