Thanks for replying , I have tried rootsireland and various other Sites including the O'Donoghue Society etc .

I know that the Donoghue Clan originated from County Kerry of which I have visited ( Killarney )when I was young .

They didn't unfortunately list the Mothers Name on Marriage Certificates at the time ( 1885 ) .

I know there are Donoghue's in Scotland of which I have contacted on various occasions .

John my GGrand-Dad , Patricks son died aged 46 and his Son Denis was aged 42 my Dad Edward was only 9 at the time and because of this his memories were limited .

I will keep going in my long lasting search ,if I only knew Patricks Wife Name I would stand a chance .
