Seaching for any clues to "Jack" Donohue, birth date unknown; and his wife. He was married to Rosa HACKER. According to 1900 census Rosa/Rose HACKER was born ca 1905 Morgan Co, Illinois; she was the daughter of James and Lucinda HAZELWOOD HACKER. When Rosa's father died in 1933, obit says survived by "Mrs. Jack Donahue of Brooklyn, New York"; mother's obit says "Mrs. J. Donahue, Brooklyn, NY". She is still living when a sister died in 1980, "Rose Donohue of Brooklyn, NY". Hacker family members say they believe Jack and Rosa had one son, Jack, Jr. I can not locate where or when this couple married, nor can I find them on any census. The only thing I have found is a SSDI listing for a Rose Donohue, born 15 June 1905, died Aug 1981, last residence of Brooklyn, NY, last benefit in Bergen Co, New Jersey. I am unable to get a death certificate for this person to see if it is the Rose I am looking for.
Any Donohue/Donahue family members out there with a Jack who married a Rose HACKER? Any help appreciated.
Thank You, May imnoble7@yahoo.com
