Russ,
I have been to Dublin and done research on my Dooner (Doner) ancestors. I am originally from the St. Clair, Michigan. My ggg grandfather Thomas Dooner was born in Leitrim Ireland in 1811, in 1850 he and his children, Thomas R. Dooner, Michael Doner, and James came to America and settled in Michigan. There is no doubt the Doner's and Dooner's are the same family. Thomas Doner's wife Bridget came to Michigan in 1851. All emmigrated from the Port of Lvierpool. Somewhere I have the record of the Ship. Thomas R. Doner married Mary Jane Coyle and had several children. My great great grandmother was Mary Elizebeth Doner who married Walter Morrill. Her first cousin was Mary Francis Doner, a famous writer who you can google and find lots of information on her. Many of the Doners are buried in St. Marys Cemetery in St. Clair Michigan. If you want any more info let me know
