Donna: You've piqued my interest.....My Great Great grandfather was John Dorst, born about 1812 in Alsace; married Mary (Margaret) Phiel or Fiel possibly in Buffalo NY. Their son Jacob was my great grandfather. John and Mary's children, according to my records are Mary, Jacob, Conrad, John, Lydia and Mayme. Do you think there's any connection??
