Lylia, I can't tell you how excited I was to get your message! We never knew about the name change. It got me to thinking, so I went back to pictures, and other documents I have. The earliest name I have is Sila, but no dates or maiden name. Her gravemarker just says her name, and aged 84 years, and that she was the mother of Lyman. I also found etchings of names that I don't know. I thought maybe you would have come across them. August and Anna Stoxen, or the surname Stroup, Co. H 21st eng. AEF. Gram made these etchings with other family members, so they must mean something. I also verified some dates- Births, Deaths, and weddings, that I could pass on if your missing some. I'd love to know about Lyman's parents, and the dates of Ephraim-birth,death, whatever you've got. How exactly are you related to the dorwins? Which branch? I don't have much info on my great-grandad's aunt and uncles;Clarissa, Oscar, or Lyman W., or even Lyman Sr. first wife Almira Wanzer.
