I'm not "directly" related to any of these last names. My great-grandfather's sister was married to a Jole, whose line had a marriage to a Stroup, who has a Stroup married to a Natalie Sto(s)en (as transcribed by Ancestry.com, which other researchers have listed as Stoxen among the Family Trees. I post this only because the Stroup name came up in this thread with what appears to be wondering how it might be connected. The South Dakota Marriages, 1905-1949 Record database has the marriage date between Harry & Natalie as 19 Dec 1917 in Brown County, but residence county as Edmunds with post office as Bowdle.
