Lylia, Maybe the link between the families is in a generation further back. Charles J. Dorwin had 2 brothers and a sister, Clarissa. When she married it was to a Chamberlin. Last I knew, that branch of the family settled in Florida. Sam and Lucy met and married in Vermont. The earliest record I have is of Sam's father Lyman Dorwin, born in Fairfax, Vt in 1807.
