Hi i'm searching my Doss roots. My Doss's came from around Henry Co.,Va and movied to Giles co,Tn but some moved to other parts of the country. I've been looking at all kinds of rcords and the family trees on Ancestry. It seems to me that they seem to use and reuse the same names throughout. I;m beginning to wonder if all the doss families in Va. are from the same tree. Does anyone know? I also have Cherokee in my doss family and was wondering where it came from. My GGGgrandfather was John "Jack" Doss and also called "Big Indian doss" I have a picture of him and his brother and they were very tall with large feet and hands. I think they look like the Wyatt Earp buys from the movie. All seemed to be very handsome with dark hair. Glenda Jerding
