We have found a picture of Michael DOTY, the son of Peter and Catherine (OVEROCKER) DOTY, who married Rachel ROUSE (or ROOSE). He was a farmer in Clifton Park Town, Saratoga County, New York and is buried in Jonesville Cemetery, Jonesville, New York. The picture is a daguerreotype that was copied to a CDV by Pine and Bell, photographers who set up shop in Troy, New York in 1860. The CDV was probably made in 1861 as a memorial for Michael's children who were by then scattered across the country from western New York to Michigan and Nebraska.
