Male, widower, 45 Born: Tusket, Nova Scotia. Died: June 17, 1913, drowned off Sable Island when the Schooner "Olympia" was struck by the liner "Sagamore". Six men were lost, eight survived.

"He was a native of Yarmouth County and has a grown up family, it is understood, in Nova Scotia. His wife died several years ago. At the firm of Sylvanus Smith & Company, nothing is known of the man. He has a niece in this city, it us understood."
His name is on the Cenotaph (Fishermen's Memorial)in Gloucester.
