Roger Doud (b. 1811 Ireland - d. 1886 Poweshiek Co., Iowa) was my great-great grandfather. I have found him in state and federal censuses from about 1850 onward. However, I have been unable to find anything suggesting what part of Ireland he came from, or when he immigrated to the United States.

He regularly turns up in the census records next to Peter Doud (b. 1812 Ireland), who I deduce was his brother. I would like to find out where in Ireland they came from, but I am running into brick walls. Would you have any more information?
