I am looking for information on Edward G. Douds who was a professor at a business college in Daviess County,Kentucky. He indicated in the 1910 census that he came to America in 1887 and was born in Ireland. I know that he died before 1930 and had at least four children by Teresa A. Smith. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

William Warren Douds - Ohio

Hello. I'm not any relation to Douds that I'm aware of, but I think William Warren Douds lived in my house. During renovations, I found a pencil drawing from 1938 by him. Since finding it, I've been curious as to who he was. Curiosity mostly. I'd also like to give the drawing (sadly, the medium on which it was drawn on has broken but I have all the pieces) to a relative who may be researching the family line.

This is what I think I know of him just from some basic internet searches. I believe he was born 25 Dec 1917, died 5 Mar 1992 in Columbus, OH. I think he may have served in the Air Force and involved in an accident in 1943.

The drawing is of what I think is a battleship. Looks like smoke is billowing out of the ship - perhaps hit? Maybe he hit it? Maybe once pieces of his life are put together the drawing may have more meaning. If anything, perhaps someone doing family research will find having this piece of him incredibly valuable for future generations.

Bonnie,
I came across your request today in the ancestry.com concerning a Mary Douds who lived in Ohio but was from PA. I don't know if I have the answers but my distant family line has quite a bit of douds who lived in Pa. Many who moved to Ohio were religious and many of the man were Reverends. If you can give me more to go on I'd look to see if the Mary's I have are part of your line. The Douds in my line were in the Beaver Co., PA area.
Kathe parrish Parker

Harry Rhea Douds

Hi, I'm working on a family tree and need information about my gggrandfather. His name was Harry Rhea Douds. He was born 9-24-1882. His wife's name was Maratha Jane (no maiden name known). He died in Hull, Illinois (we have no date). We have been told by older family members that the "Douds" name is Irish and may have been shortened from "O'Douds". Harry and Maratha had a daughter, Margaret Melba, who was born in 1903. She went on to marry Robert Price Owens. Harry was a conductor on the B and O railroad for a period of time. If you have any information that would aid in my search, please reply. THANKS !!!!!!
