Just starting a search and looking for any family connections to Alexander Dougherty/Ann(a)Smith of Groton or Mystic Connecticut.Both born in Ireland ~1830. Came to US before 1854.Children are:Annie b.1854m.Bernard Kearney, Julia b.1857,Lizzie b. 1861,William b.1866, and Daniel b.1870.
annie settled in Ludlow,VT and Daniel was in Camden, Maine. I'm a descendant of the Dougherty/Kearney line.Would love to hear from others from this family.
