Hello, and please forgive me as I am VERY new at all of this. I'm trying to track George N. Dove, born about 1840 in Virginia. He married Rosamond (Rosie) Carter. He is the son of Hershel Dove and Worth Graham, my husband's grandparents. I believe George served in the War between the States in the army of Virginia and held the rank of captain, but that may be incorrect. I am able to track Rosie Carter's family fairly extensively, and I have information regarding the children of Rosie and George, but I can't find a death date for George nor any information on his parents or siblings. I'd appreciate any help.
