I tried to take photos of Neckarmühlbach a few years ago, but, although it's a lovely area, there wasn't much to take pictures of. An old barn had been turned into a business [restaurant?] with a wild west theme and some houses exist. I just Goggled Neckarmühlbach and found some photos of the local castle. Another reseacher sent me the Neckarmühlbach connection. I think the original name was Daubenberger. I have photos of the Dovenbarger headstone in Washington Co.,OH. You can find it at ,http://ohiogravestones.org/view.php?id=17714>

Valentin Daubenberger and Johann Jacob Daubenberger arrived in Philadelphia aboard the ship St. Andrew from Rotterdam, Holland and Cowes, England in 1751. They had originally emigrated from Germany.(I'm assuming they were brothers perhaps) Johann Jacob's line is where I am from and what I'm most interested in researching. Thanks!

I don't have these people in my line that I know of. Judging from the other post here, your Dovenbargers are from another bunch. The oldest one I have is Valentine b. abt 1709 in probably in Neckarmühlbach, Kreis Mosbach, Baden. This info comes from another researcher. Does your family connect to Neckarmühlbach?
I am also related to Daniel Dovenbarger. He and his wife Catharine (Heflebower) Dovenbarger had a son, Charles Hesikiah, who married Ada Shultz. Charles and Ada had a daughter, Nora, who married Harry Huntington. Nora and Harry had a daughter Helen, who was my grandmother. I'm new to family history research, but I believe that means Daniel Dovenbarger was my gggg grandfather. Do you have any photos of the Dovenbarger families?
The John DOVENBARGER I have was a son of John DOVENBARGER and Mary(Polly) EAKLE. The father was born in 1788 and the son born in 1820. I'm not sure yours is the same John DOVENBARGER. My information came from letter to my grandmother from her cousin who took the names and dates from a DOVENBARGER family bible. The listings are:
Jacob DOVENBARGER July 19 1814
Henry DOVENBARGER Jan 8 1816
Sally DOVENBARGER Mar 10, 1818
John DOVENBARGER May 15 1820
Christian DOVENBARGER Mar 12 1822
Will DOVENBARGER Sept 25 1824
Daniel DOVENBARGER Feb 3 1826 (my ggggrandfather)
Matlethea DOVENBARGER Feb 1829
Matilda DOVENBARGER Jan 10 1831
Mary Elizabeth DOVENBARGER Oct 19 1834
Susan A. DOVENBARGER May 26 1838
I'm guessing that these are all birhdates of children born to John and Mary(EAKLE) DOVENBARGER. Do any of these names look familiar? Michelle

I have a John Dovenbarger, son of Jacob and Sarah Mitchell Dovenbarger, b. abt 1818, probably in Belmont co Ohio. This is unconfirmed information from the internet. I have a bit of info on others in the family. Jacob was supposedly from PA. Brenda
