This kind of a long shot but my gg-grandfathers name was Henry Clay Dow. He was born in 1829. He married my gg-grandmother,Rebecca Riley Edsall, in 1877 in KS. He died in 1880. We don't know anything about him except for those 3 yrs. He was nearly 50 yrs old when they got married. It just seems logical he would have been married before. I was wondering if these seems like it might be connected to your Dow's?
