Lucille E. Dowlen, 90, Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Brother Barclay Riley officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home.
Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 17, 1917 in Robertson County, daughter of the late Finis Ellis and Addie Farmer Ellis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmon Dowlen and a brother, James H. Ellis.
Ms. Dowlen was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ and was retired from B.F. Goodrich.
Survivors include sons, Timothy C. Dowlen, Clarksville, and P. Mark Dowlen, Springfield; a brother, William F. Ellis, Franklin; a sister, Eunice Pickney, Mt. Juliet; and a grandson, Joseph M. Dowlen.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hilldale Church of Christ, 501 Highway 76, Clarksville, TN 37043. Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home, 335 Franklin St., Clarksville, TN 37040, 645-6488.
