Sorr I dont have an answer On George but I am really intrigued by your family tree which is posted. I have similar data my end on Harry Albert Downes who married Sarah Clayton, however the son Harry Albert Downes did not die in 1997. It seems we run lots of parallels and before I continue searching I just wanted to check on whether you found a death certificate for Harry in 1997? Otherwise I might be able to help.
