Isabella (Isabel) Downie was born at Ranagullion, Alyth on 12 August 1807, daughter of Alexander Downie and Margaret Robertson (source: Alyth OPR). She died of heart disease on 28 February 1882 at 2 Royal Exchange, Edinburgh (source Death Certificate). James Pennycook was a skin dealer and died on 5 July 1890 at the Old Inn, Kinross, occupied by his brother in law James Downie (source a descendant of James Downie).

By the way, the place where James and Isabel married is Kettins, not Kettings.
