I live near Richmond, VA and recently went to a thrift store and found a death memorial of several children who passed away in the Downing family. I think this is from CT because there is newspaper behind the frame from the Hartford Evening Post Friday , March 6, 1908. I have looked through the paper that was on the back and there was no article mentioning these children. I have also looked all over Ancestry with no luck. The children's names are as follows:

Matilda Margret Downing, Died August 29, 1887, Age 6 mos.

John Francis Downing, Died November 2, 1889, Age 1 year 3 mos.

Jermiah Downing, Died April 4, 1893, Age 27 days.

Matilda Downing, Died August 1, 1894, Age 6 mos.

On the very bottom of this memorial is the name of Katherine Ferguson, died May 7, 1901. I am not sure if she was the mother of these children.
