Looking for parents and ancestors of William Doxsie/Doxie/ Doxey/Doxy, born Long Island between 1770 & 1780 and living in Beekman, Dutchess County, NY by 1810 and Fishkill, Dutchess County by 1830. He married Sarah Delong and had five known children: Maria, Edwin(Edward/Edmond), Susan, Wiiliam, and Sarah. There may have been three other sons and one other daughter whose names are unknown. I know there were many Doxey families (of all spellings) on Long Island. Is someone missing a William?? Many thanks for any help in finding William's parents and ancestors.
