Surnames: Doyle, Fortis
Looking for the family of Margaret Julia Doyle b. about 1838 in Ireland, daughter of Julia ? and Patrick or John Doyle.(different papers list different names).
She married Francis Joseph Fortis 2/22/1860 in Boston, MA and had 2 children - Adam Francis (Frank) 3/16/1861 and Julia Ann 7/16/1862.(married to Gilbert Thibedore) Mr. Fortis died and Margaret married William Hales in 1873.(Also in Boston). She had at least 3 children with him Margaret Josephine (married to Joseph Doherty), Mary Elizabeth and Mary Charlotte. It is possible they also had a son William Jr. He did exist, but there is a question of who his mother is, as he was born about 1871. It is possible William Sr. was married before Margaret.
