My Nellie Doyle was from CT and her parents came from Ireland but I don't know anything about her. She married James Case and they went to Colorado and were on the 1880 census in Denver.
If you come across anything on her would you let me know. I am at a loss.
Margaret sunsethillce@saber.net

I am stuck!! My grandmother was Frances Frede (Doyle). Her death certificate says father James Doyle (1889) and Agnes Powers. She had from what I know for sure was Agnes and James, but according to the 1920 census I see there was also Joseph and William. States James Doyle's father and mother both from Ireland and Agnes Powers father born in New Hampshire and mother in Ireland. Any help on where they were before 1920?

Mary Livingstone Doyle and MacDonald cousins

My wife's grandmother Mary Livingstone Doyle was born Dec 28, 1885 in Castlebar Ireland. Her parents were Patrick Doyle and Catherine Moran Doyle. Mary immigrated to the US in May 1906 on the ship Cymric and married Robert CHarles Darling in 1911. She listed Mary Livingstone (cousin), on the ship's passenger list, as the person she was going to meet in Lexington, Mass. I believe that Mary Livingstone married a MacDonald as there are stories of the MacDonald cousins. Mary Doyle's two brothers Thomas Lewis Doyle and Patrick Doyle also came to the US and while we believe Patrick died in California shortly after WW I, I have records that Thomas Lewis married Annie and they had twin sons.

I would welcome any information on Thomas Lewis Doyle or Mary Livingstone MacDonald. I have many photos of Patrick, Thomas Lewis and other Doyles that I would be happy to share.

Thanks,

Richard J Chidester
rjchid@yahoo.com

James Doyle and Elizabeth Buxton

Looking for a James Doyle who married Elisabeth Buxton(b.1852). Both from Louisiana, as far as I can tell. Two daughters, Stella Doyle (b. 1878) and Wealthy Doyle (b. 1884). I cannot find James and Elizabeth together on any census, Elizabeth is always working as a housekeeper in the household of someone else and she is listed as a widow. I do not know who either James Doyle's or Elisabeth Buxton's parents were. I do know that Stella married an Ashworth, and Wealthy married August Mosteit in about 1904 as she is my great grandmother. Any information on either this James Doyle or Elisabeth Buxton would be greatly appreciated.

I am intrigued by your posting.
I too am Doyle searching and it appears that Samuel and the line I am looking at are most probably connected.
The connecting factor? Kentucky from Maryland
I have an Andrew Doyle b 1816/d 1876, son of John Doyle b/ 1791 Maryland, and d/1873 in Fleming Kentucky.
As was often the case, when one part of the family moved, many of the other relatives went along as well. I would suspect it is a fair bet that your Samuel and Gregory C. are somehow related to my John and his son Andrew. I do not have a solid lead on Johns father, but it is feasible that he and Samuel could have been brothers? Possibly.
I would need to see more documentation in order to make that leap, but oh how exciting it would be to finally find a thread on this line as mine hits the proverbial wall after John.
Any input??
I don't know if they were in Wisconsin or not before this. I doubt if they were - I need to change the event place. I only find they or their children in Michigan in Marquette or Ironwood.
Re: Lawrence Doyle, Wexford, IRE

With the zillion Doyles in the world, this is fairly close. I have a John Doyle from Wicklow born 1806 who married a Mary Ann O'Leary born 1818 from Wexford. Their first born Thomas was born in Quebec, Canada 1838 along with James, Maurice Jacob and Catherine in 1852.
Then they moved to Onondaga, NY.where Cecelia was born in 1855. Thomas and James continued to live there, but the rest of the family moved to Detroit, Michigan.
The Canadian census gives good information. I recall a Breen living in the same neighborhood. It has been awhile since I looked at this information, but it could be close. I haven't been able to trace the children of Thomas or James.

Does anyone?
He worked at the VA Hospital in Frmaingham Ma from 1950 to 52. and MGH in Boston 1952-53.
Don't know, but this is when he may have gone to CA? Would like to learn the details of this, and with whom he went to CA?
I would like to find out if he ever married, if so to whom, where and when, and if they had children, who, where and when.
I am very curious about Bernard, as his name etc was in paper work (genealogy) that my late aunt left, and none of us seem to know why. I hope posting this message and others may eventually solve our mystery
My grandparents wsere Patrick Bradley and Mary Ann O'Donnell both born in Carndonagh Co Donegal and immigrated to the US on the SS Austrian. Settled in Boston, and married on April 17 1902 at St Peter's in Dorchester(boston neighborhood) They lived in Malden first where first 4 children were born : Susan, Helen, Margaret, and Mary, and then moved to Peabody where James and Theresa were born and finally settled in Salem Ma. Patrick died in Salem in March 1931, and Mary in Salem on Nov 20 1958. Both are buried at St Mary's Cemetary in Salem Ma.
Other names associated with this family are Lynch, Sweeney, Tuffli, DiRocco, Bradley, Kotarski,
Somewhere, there is some kind of connection, just don't know if its family/or friendship but really would like to find out.
\
Robert W Doyle died in 2001 in the Florence section of North Hampton Ma. He was the husband of the late Mary E
Dehey, and left 2 daughters. Monica J Lynch, and Maureen A
Sienkewicz. Monica from Easthampton Ma, and Maureen from Florence.

Wonder about James and Raymond Doyle,(brothers of above)
Does anyone know anything at all about them?
Also does anyone know anything about where and when the Doyle;s immigrated to the USA, for while all above were born in MA, at some point family must have immigrated probably from Ireland, but where> Monica and or Maureen if you see this, do you know?

Did James and Raymond marry, have children etc.

About Ella V Joyce, I would like to know her parents, sibblings etc, and where her family was from oirinaally.

Sorry to be so long winded, but any help would be appreciated.
If folks would rather, they may e-mail me details at
barb19401@verizon.net.

Thank you so much
Barbara

Michael J Doyle b: 25 May 1859 NJ d: Jan 1918 East Orange, NJ

I am researching my wife's side of the family and have hit a roadblock. I found a Michael J Doyle who was a former Big League in the National League when it was young. It says in Philadelphia with such stars as "Pop" Anson, A.G. Spalding and "Al" Reasch. In the winter he took to skates and was entered in the Montreal carnival and was amongst the winners. He even raced with Bob Montgomery. The article goes on to say he was captain of the Eureka Boat Club on the Passaic River. After he left boxing he became a promoter. He owned and operated the Hillside Pleasure Park in Belleville, NJ. He is buried in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in East Orange, NJ. I can not find anything on him on the internet or ancestry.com. I would appreciate any info you can share. I have a copy of 2 newspaper articles to share.

Re: Looking for descendants of J. Doyle

Sorry, but I know nothing more than what I posted. My father flew with this crew on the 'Silver Meteor'. I have a picture of the crew and Dad listed the names on the back, but listed first initials only. Sure wish I knew more and Dad is gone now, so there is no one to ask. What Dad had written on the front of the picture, B-17 Crew #4-17 Heavy Bombardment. Then on back, he wrote the names of the guys listing PFC. J. Doyle, Ball gunner. I was just really hoping to find some of the descendants to see if they had pictures to share also. Wish I could be of more help and I appreciate your reply but not much else to go on.
