Samuel R. Lindsey born March 31, 1882 in New Jersey , died March 7, 1964 in Placer, California. He was the son of Samuel Lindsey and Laura Drace. Smauel age 28 - a Blacksmith both in NY along with his wife, Laura and daughter Louisa is found in Cario, Greene, Co,NY on the 1880 census. By 1900, Samuel has died...and Laura Drace Lindsey is head of the household in Passaix NY Paterson Ward 8. She has in her household her 2 children , Louisa who is now 22 and is a Bookkeeper and Samuel R. who is 18 and is an Apprentice ( Can't read what kind). By 1930 Samuel and his wife Mary S. Lindsey is living in Oakland , Alameda Co. CA on San Juan Street. Samuel is listed as a Structual Engineer for a Steel Company. I'm not sure but looking at the 1860 census for Windham , Greene Co., NY- Henry Drace age 34 -lumberman born in Hanover Germany and his wife, Martha has 4 children - Clinton age 9, Philo age 7, LAURA A. age 6 and Cornelia age 1.
