Info on Samuel Drach from Wojnilow
I'm looking for any help or leads on tracing my ancestors back past my grandfather, Samuel Drach, who was born in 1884 in Wojnilow, Austria-Hungary, (now Voynilov in the Ukraine). He emigrated to NYC in 1904 via Hamburg. His entry at Ellis Island was listed as "Simon Drach," but that was probably because the Yiddish version of his name was Shimon. I've seen it suggested that "Drach" was a variant of "Dracz," but he always used Drach. I've had no luck in trying to find any traces of his family.
