My husband's grandmother's maiden name was Katarzyna Drag. Her parent's were Wojeiech Drag and Maryanne Szokuta. Katarzyna Drag married Jakob Maj after coming over from Poland at St.John Cantius Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. She is buried at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL. Story has it they came over at a young age at some time in the early 1900's from somewhere in Poland. Not sure what part...

I just came across your message in ancestry.com. My Grandmother came from Poland in the early 1900's. She came from a small village named Ropa in Nowy Sacz province. Her maiden name was Drag. If this is of help to you I have more information and can be reached at xcheck@nb.net. Ed
