I am new on the internet but one of my only purposes for buying a computer was to find out more about my relatives and my linage. Our linage has been traced back as far as 1420 with the Coat of Arms as far back as 600 BC. The name Drake is derived from the workd Draco in Greece where they moved to England, the Manor or Mushbury, Axminster, Devon Co., England, changed their name to Drake and the settlement was later known to be Mount Drake. This is a direct line to Francis Drake. There are 6 Sir Frances Drakes, so dates of birth and mother and father's name are of the most importance when tracing linage.
I am looking for history on Rev. Bamfield Drake, Rector of Farway, Devon Co., England. His child, Francis
Drake, b8/2/101, in Farway landed in Jamestown Va., in 1733. I need Rev. Bramfield Drakes DOB and DOD and any marriages, if he was even married.
