I have seen the 1880 census record for Clay County, WV and it shows the family of Lorenzo Dow Drake, wife Felicity, and children Nancy, Samantha, George, Edwin and Addie. Edwin Drake was the father of Basil and Phorber. So Lorenzo was my Great Grandfather (your Great-Great Grandfather). It also lists Felicity's parents right above the Drake. They were Henry and Sophrona Brown. It shows they had a servant, Benjamin Drake, aged 12. I think he was Lorenzo and Felicity's oldest son.

I would love to see your research on the Reedy's.
