Classification: Query
Surnames: Drake, Baker, Fowler, Beyoux/Beauyx, Tobias,Butler, Bon
Joseph Drake b. 10 June 1717 England d. 20 January 1785 Eastchester, Westchester Co., NY, buried St. Paul’s Church cemetery, Eastchester, Westchester Co., NY. See Joseph Drake will January 17, 1785 Eastchester *. Joseph married Catherine Baker b. 30 July 1731 d. 17 September 1749. Catherine was the daughter of William and Hannah Baker. Siblings of Catherine Baker Drake were: Eunice, Joseph and William Baker. See will of Wm. Baker Eastchester, Feb. 21, 1740. Hannah Baker died 30 September 1749. Joseph and Catherine were married 21 October 1737 per official records. However, family bible states they were married 23 September 1737. Children of Joseph and Catherine were:

William Drake b. 27 July 1738 d. 31 October 1751
Edward Drake b. 16 September 1740
Hannah Drake b. 3 December 1740
Ann Drake b. 30 April 1745
Sarah Drake b. 19 July 1747

Joseph married as his second wife Jane, last name unknown. They were married 2 November 1751. Jane died 2 May 1760 of smallpox and miscarried a boy. Their children were:

Elizabeth Drake b. 15 July 1751
Jasper Drake b.12 March 1753 d. at New Haven, 16 Sept. 1782
Jane Drake b. 6 November 1754
Francis Drake b. 10 November 1756
William Drake b. 19 April 1759 d. 30 May 1763

Joseph married as his third wife, Charity Fowler on 10 February 1762. Charity was born 28 November 1728. They had the following children:

Joseph Drake b. 9 December 1762
Charity Drake b. 14 April 1764
John Drake b. 16 June 1765 d. 28 September 1765
Hester Drake
Abigail Drake

Note* Francis Drake who married Catherine Tobias and went to Canada might possibly be a match to the son of Joseph and Jane Drake. Also not that Charity Fowler married Henry Beyoux/Beauyx. John Beauyx was a witness to the will of Joseph Drake. It is possible that this is the same Charity Fowler who married both Henry Beyoux/Beauyx and Joseph Drake.

Records extracted from family bible, PRERSI article and local records. More info on request regarding this family who lived in Eastchester, Westchester Co., NY and Rice Co., Minnesota.
