Hello, Im Katharina Dreisbach, I just recently came to know that there are Dreisbachs in the USA and even yearly family reunions. its so interesting and also a bit strange for me that -according to what I read- the first recorded dreisbach immigrant came from Balde, a small village only 15 min from my village (Birkelbach) in this rural region which is quite remote (but Germany is small,so it only takes 2 and a half hours by train to Frankfurt from here).
I just wanted to say, IF SOMEONE ONE DAY TRAVELS TO WITTGENSTEIN to visit the place of his/her ancestors, I WOULD LOVE TO GUIDE this person(s) around and offer a place to stay in my parents home (though I cannot promise 100% for sure cause from time to time Im abroad). Its a calm and quite beautiful wooded region with a castle and some old churches.
Im also LOOKING FOR A PENFRIEND, preferably snail mail, between 20 and 30 (Im 24) with the name Dreisbach or similar.
