Hi Carolyn,
At this point I am looking for information regarding the Wolf/Wulf family of Chisago County. What I do have is 1857, the Wolf family came to the US and settled in Chisago Cty. Friedrich 54, Margaret 48, Minna 20, Christina 22, William 18, Fred 7, Dora 24.The family was able to come to the US because of an older daughter Magdalena Christina and her husband John Mold.
I have spoken to an ancestor of Magdalena. She stated that Friedrich (Magdalena's father) was married 3 times and that Magdalena had a full sister named Christina. Which is most likely Elsabe Christina Dorothea Wolf who married Claus Boeck. During the same conversation she told me that one of the other girls married a Drews and the other married a Sievert. I checked the census information on Drews of Chisago County 1880 and found Hans Drew 52, and Chatarina Drews 51, with children Fredrick 26, and Adolph 15.
I thought this might be one of the Wolf daughters. What has been confusing for me is that I think all the girls have Christina as a first, second, or third name.
These are surnames from Chisago Cty related to the first Wolf family: Winges, Mold, Boeck?, Sievert?, Demulling, Wilkes.
Let me know if any names are familiar.
Thanks for your time
Laurie
