I have found more information on our Driggers:
Bennett Driggers (b. abt. 1795-1800) m. Charity Philpot (b. 1796)
they had two daughters:
Avis Driggers (b. 1823) m. William Smart
Drucilla Driggers (b. 1820) m. John Darling Carter Sr. (b. 1812)
John and Drucilla moved with Bennett and Charity to Alabama from South Carolina. On the same day (9-20-1839)Bennett Driggers and Caleb Driggers bought ajoining land in Pike County, Al. Caleb Driggers was born abt. 1730 in SC. I think Caleb is Bennett's father. Does anyone have a connection? Please e-mail me direct if you have anything, thirtroof@aol.com
