Dear Bob:
I descend from Elgate Driskell through his son Elijah Driskell. I have a public tree (Driskell Crockett) on ancestry. Were your relatives part of the infamous Driskell-Brody gang? I will add your information to my tree. I dont know if I have anymore information than you do but I do research as often as possible and add what I find. Take care,
Teresa Driskell Barndt

So far I don't see a Chester in my line, but there could be as some went to Ohio.

It would help a lot if you had dates, and places. Have you checked the census?
there are driskell stones in a small grave site in lamar? county. From Roberta (crawford county) take hwy 341 north into lamar county. Just past rock querry road there is a dairy farm entrance and a small tree patch off to the side. There are alot of markers but the cattle trample all over them. Hamlin and Driskells mostly. The owner of the farm is nice and will allow you to see the stoones, but watch out for the electric fence, its hot!!!!!

I am glad to get your reply. I will wait on the response from Scott, I seem to have lost the note from him. I would love to have a look at the picture, I do not have any of my fathers family except one of grandma Driskell in the early 1960's. I am guessing at that, & dads brother & sisters Jessie & Dollie. I have pictures that we took while over on the old home place for Driskell Reunion last year, and we stopped and took pictures of most of the old home places in the area. I know that I have Uncle Thomas Driskell there on the road. I can remember him sitting on the front porch. I would gladly send you or email you a copy if you want an that I have. My address is 212 Pickren Hall Viola, AR. 72583

My father was Doyne Driskell, and was raised in that area. He passed away this past April. I have some information about your mother and also Willie. I can put you in touch with some family members that can help you too. Have you ever heard the name Albert Trail, he has been dead a long time. I live about 1 hour from the area your mother was in, and my sister and her family still live there. I still have many relatives in that area. Let me know what you need and I will touch bases with you.
Kay Driskell-Talburt at dalek@centurytel.net

There is a possibility that Lewis Driskell was a brother? to my grandfather, Landy Driskell. My Dad was Doyne Edgbert Driskell. I know that my father was raised in Douglas County,MO. in the Dora (Blackjack Area.) Grandfather Landy had a brother named Lewis, Oliver? (also known as Oli). Let me know if this helps or makes any connection with your family and I will try to respond with any information that may help you. There is several Driskells buried in the Blanche Cemetery,Douglas County, which was at one time known as Ozark County, Mo.

It appears that your gfather, Wyatt, is the brother of my husband's gfather James. Both sons of Allen Cleveland Driskell. If you will repond with your e-mail address, I will give you names of Driskells to call in Houston who have traced the Driskells to County Cork Ireland.
