I am a descendant of James Droney (m Bridget Kinahan). It would seem that four of their children came to Australia namely, John, Bridget( married Charles Edmunds), Catherine (married James Baker) and Norah (married Joseph Turner). We believe that other siblings may have gone to America. My direct ancestor is John Droney who was born in Miltown, County Clare, Ireland on 1 August 1864 and came to Qld at, we think, age 20. He settled in Drayton, Qld, Aust and married Julia Ann O'Shea.
In our research we also have a Birth Certificate of another John Droney who was born on 2 May 1865 in Kilshanny. His parents were John Droney and Mary Droney.
I would like to correspond with others who are researching
