Sorry to be so slow responding. I have not been working on family history for a while. So...the Droney family in my son-in-law's family descended from Lawrence Droney and his wife Catherine Doherty. Their children were Ann, Austin, Delia, Helena, John Katherine, Margaret, Nora, Patrick, Mary and Lawrence L. who was born May 26, 1889 in County Clare. Lawrence L. came to the US abt 1909 . He married Anna Theresa Keane (Kane) who also came from County Clare,
in Hartford, Connecticut in 1915. Both are buried in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery somewhere in Connecticut. Their daughter Catherine Marie Droney who married Albert Henry LaFleur is my son-in-law's grandmother. Hope this is a connection to you. Donna
