I came across your message on I am also searching Droste's from Prussia except my family spelled it with an i before the e. My gg-grandfather was born in 1846 and came over to the U.S. when he was just a small child. I don't know anything else about his previous live or parents. Would you have any info which I could possible use. He would be close to the same age as your Edward b. 1842. Could it be possible that they may be brothers. Did your family, by any chance, come through Kentucky? Please let me know. Thanks Jane Ann
