Hi. The Droste name is so unique that I have been curious about those that share it. Some requested some information about Germany. I will relay as much about my family as I remember. My Father is Carl Droste. His Sister was Adele and their father was Edward P. Droste. His father I believe was August Droste. He immigrated to the US on April 1886 to NY from Breman Germany. A few generations back from there the last name used to be Sander-Landerpater. I guess that was too much of a mouthful so he took his wife's name, Droste. If anyone's interested in any more info, I can retrieve some Ancestry information my Grandfather acquired prior to his death.
