Looking for the parents of NELSON DROUILLARD, b. abt 1817, Monroe County MI. Married Eliza CHAUVIN about 1842.
Can't find him in the Denissen's French Families book.
He is found in the 1850 census for LaSalle, Monroe County, MI,
with wife Eliza [CHAUVIN] and son John, age 1.
He left soon after for Grand Portage, Cook Co, MN; worked as
a Blacksmith on the reservation. Went to Bayfield WI, d. there 1873.
