Their father John Benton Thompson died in 1877 and their mother Sarah Ellen Little Thompson died in 1879. The Thompson children went to live with their grandparents Thomas E. Little and Ann Elliott Little, whom were residing in Glen Elder, Mitchell County, KS.
Grandparent Thomas E. Little died Feb 26, 1880 in Glen Elder, Mitchell County, KS.
Minnie Thompson and brother John Benjamin Thompson would be raised by their uncle William J. Little and their grandmother Ann Elliott Little as noted in the 1880 Fed Census and 1885 KS State Census, Glen Elder, Mitchell County, KS.
Family of Minnie's brother John Benjamin Thompson, recall visiting Minnie in St. Joseph, MO. Minnie would later move to Los Angeles, CA, sometime after the 1920 Federal Census where she was noted as living with her husband William S. Drumm in St Joseph Ward 3, Buchanan, Missouri.
