Roberdeau Drury was my closest friend in the military service during WWII. We served together in C Btry of the 191 Field Artillery Battalion. "Bob" was killed in Sept. of 1944 while serving as a forward observor. He was a real hero, reciving the Silver Star posthumously. I feel that I have much information about him that relatives might like to have. He entered the service from Southwestern Colorado. He and his wife, Virginia, had no children. I know he had a sister, but I cannot remember whether he had brothers. Closest relatives now would probably be nieces or nephews. The place names
Trinidad" and "Alamosa" figured prominently in his conversations. He had no middle name.
Bob is mentioned frequently in my memoirs of WWII, and I would like very much to be in touch with any of his relatives.
