My great granfather bought the "home place" of Emanuel Dubbs which had the rock house and spring house on Sweetwater Creek. It also has the chalk rock hill from which they brought the stone to build the Mobeetie Jail.

I would be interested in the book as well. I found a letter to my grandfather telling us about the book. His mother was Myrta May Toops who married Franklin Tuvell.

Isbella Dubs born 1826 was the daughter of Johannes Dubs and Anna Wolfrom. Both parents were born in York County, PA.

All I know is that my g-grandmother was born in Salem, OH so I can only presume that Isabella had ties to that area Her other children, both before and after, were born in PA. Unfornunately I have absolutely no history on her so that's what I'm looking for. Thanks for responding.

I'm responding to your posting of 2001 regarding Dubbs in OH/PA. I am trying to locate any ancestry on Isabella Dubbs (1826-1918) who was born in OH later lived in both OH and PA. Could she be in any way related to the Dubbs line you are researching?

I'm seeking any information on the lineage of my gg-grandparents, David Yarnell (1825-1896 and his wife, Isabella Dubbs Yarnell (1826-1918). They lived and raised their family in and around Allegheny County, PA but may have had an Ohio connection since my g-grandmother (Molly Yarnell Bartley) was born in Samem, Ohio. I was wondering if there was any indication in the Bible as to the birth year of John Dubbs. I am researching the Dubs/Dubbs from PA and I have two John Dubs that moved to Ohio.

I believe that my Martin's grandparents were Henrich and Anne Marie. My Martin was born in approx 1767 and he is listed in the census of 1800 living with his brother Michael. There were so many Martin's in the family till about 1860, its hard to tell you which is which. Then the name Charles repeats itself several times, as does Joseph. But my g/g/g/g grandfather's sister was Sabina. Like I stated before, I have quite a bit on this string of the Dubs/Dubbs. And, I have the letter written in 1849 which lists all of the children of Martin and Sarah Dubs. When they came from PA to the Midwest, they changed the spelling to Dubbs. I have a Sabina Dubs/Dubbs in my family tree. She was born in PA, believe Lancaster County early 1800's. Her father's name was Martin, mothers was Sarah Jones. I have further information regarding Martin's parents if you think this may help. My Sabina could be a granddaughter of your Sabina or a great niece. The name itself is surely of the same family.
I have letter written in 1849 which mentions Sabina. Be glad to make you a copy. Debbie
