Do you have any information on the people who stayed in St. Louis, Missouri? I'm looking for GGGrandfather Henry Dubrell c.1871. His Daughter Florence Dubrey b.1894 in St. Louis, MO, gave my Grandmother up for adoption in 1915. My Aunt's and Uncle's are 70 - 90 and would love any tidbit! After I found the name of their real Grandmother Florence the Dubrey side hit a wall with Henry. Thanks, Bobbi

Pamela,
I am also from the DuBry line and was also confused not being able to find any info. It was as if the name dropped from the sky. I contacted a relative and found out that the name DuBry was changed from DuBreuil. The DuBrueils came from France to Quebec, Canada in the 1600's and then on into Michigan. I have just breifly scanned thru my line and have not seen a Albert. Maybe you could provide some more info and I could be of some help.
Hope to hear from you.
Ginger

Dubreuil's from St.Cesaire, Rouville, Quebec - 1700's/1800's +

My Great-grandfather, Jean Louis Dubreuil was born in St.Cesaire on 01 Nov 1865. Jean married Philomene Beauvais in St.Hyacinthe on 03 Mar 1892. Their first child (Joseph Adelard) was born the following year. Shortly after his birth the family moved to North Adams, Mass (where they had 11 more children). Jean was the twelfth of 18 children (if my info is correct) of Amable DuBreuil (circa 1819) and Emilie Jaret-dit-Beauregard (circa 1831). Amabel and Emilie were married in St.Cesaire in 1849. His grandparents were Louis DuBreuil and Therese Guay. This is all the information I have on Amable. I am looking for information on when and where he was born. As-well-as Louis and beyond . . . does anyone have any information on this branch of the Dubreuil family tree?

I will send you copies if you will send me your address. We have relatives in Washington, and still have some in Nebraska. I live in Missouri, there are a few of us here.
I'm looking for any information on Mary's family. She is my late father-in-law's grandmother. She married William Rowe in Lancaster, NE in 1879 and had, so far as I can find, Charles (my father-in-laws' father), Julia, Rosa, Anna, and Emma. There may be a Harold or Howard as well plus ?? Mary was born in 1861 in Detroit, Michigan according to Charle's birth certificate. If anyone can provide information on Mary and/or her family I'd really appreciate it.

Re: Moses Dubry

I have info on the Dubroy's of the Richmond/Fallowfield area. My mother's name was spelt Dubroy. However, I've seen it spelt Dubrueille in one census, and Dubrie in another. I've also seen variations of Dubray, Dubry, DuBroy, Dubrule and others I can't recall. My Dubroy ancestors go like this Dorothy Dubroy(mother), Desmond Dubroy, Louis Dubroy, William Dubreuille, Louis Dubrule. Although the Moses that you mention does not go along my line, I've seen his name numerous times and tried to figure out where he fits in to my line. Richmond/Fallowfield are very small towns and I've seen a reference to the individual you call Moses. I believe that there are 2 individuals named Moise that may cause confusion. There is Moise Dubroy who married Ellen McGuire. Moise parents were Moise Dubroy and Laura Chapman , I believe Moise is the French translation of Moses. I believe that Moise and my Louis Dubrule were brothers, however I've yet to find any actual evidence to support that. Louis would've been born around 1821 and I believe that Moise was born later in the 1820's. I do have a newspaper article of the 50th wedding anniversary of Moise and Ellen annoucement on the computer and would be able to forward it if anyone is interested. It states that Moise and Laura lived in Cleveland for some time, they also lived in Park Hill Ontario. There both died in Richmond Ontario. The National Archives(Canada) have the parish registered on Microfilm for St. Patrick's(Fallowfield) and St. Philips(Richmond). I may have more information concerning this line with mine, if need be I would be able to review.

The 50th wedding notice also indicates the following children:
Allen, Russell, and Earl Dubroy, all of Ottawa, and Miss Pearl Dubroy.

If any questions feel free to send me an e-mail at davidp@infonet.ca

I have quite a few Dubreuil (and variant spelling) relatives, some of whom lived in MT, SD, NE, OR, CA, etc. They are descendants of Jacques Dubrueil from France. Some were early habitants of "les Illinois" (the Illinois Country) back when it belonged to France (Cahokia, Kaskaskia, St. Philippe, Fort de Chartres, etc.). When America bought the Louisiana Terr. a lot of them moved across the Mississippi to the St. Louis St. Ferdinand de Florissant (Florissant), MO area. They were businessmen and fur trappers/traders, some descendants of whom moved up the Missouri River into what is now Nebraska, The Dakotas, Montana, Oregon, etc. Your DuBrys look like they could be related to mine. There are lots of descendants who are on the Rosebud Pine Ridge reservations now.
If interested, you may contact me at email address: johns2rt@ginetworks.com

I'm the owner of www.dubry.com
and I haven't done a lot with it yet. It seems
that my aunt Pam has done a LOT of research
into the name though, so I'll probably get a lot of
info from her about it.

Anyhow, lacking my own motivation to work on the site,
if anyone out there is HTML-talented and would
like to help design the site layout and stuff,
please contact me at webmaster@dubry.com or
adubry@musiciansfriend.com. It would be great
to get some help with the layout. These are the names of their children, Lola, Lyle, Steve, Harold, Lloyde,(who is my father), Larrence, Victor. I hope that some of this will match up with what you got because I don't have anything but what I just gave you as far as the DuBry history goes. But by all means I am willing to share what information and knowledge that I have with you. Thank-you very much, Kevin.

I heard from Ginger and she said that according to the dates and the book that George Dubry was my great grandfather. His son was Lawrence Dubry. I wrote back to ask about brothers of sisters of Lawrence. I only know as far back as Lawrence and Merdith and their children, my father being one of them. I know some about my fathers brother and sisters. Two are still living. If I have any information you want just e-mail me. Julie
