Surnames: Dubuque, Bohr
Searching for information on George Dubuque.
Born December 1861 or 1862 in Massachusetts. Parents were both born in Canada. George is listed in the 1900 Racine, WI census as a shoemaker, living with two sons, and his wife. His wifes first name is illegible, but her last name is Bohr.
Possible lead with a George Dubuque listed in the 1880 Cook Co, IL. census. Has him listed as born in 1862 in MA, living with father Julius and mother Olive, both born in Canada, and many siblings.
Another problem is that the family insists this man is known as Charles, not George, but I have found no trace of any Charles Dubuque in either Wisconsin or MA during any reasonable time frame.
Can anyone confirm this connection or offer any information about the Dubuque family in Wisconsin? Any info is appreciated, as it's giving me quite a headache! Thanks!
