Julius & Olive Dubuque family - Canada, MA (1860), IL (1865), WI (1881)
I am searching for information on Julius Dubuque born Aug 1837 in Canada. He married Olive (maiden name unknown). She was born about 1843 in Canada. They were married in 1860, location unknown. Their first son, George, was born in Massachusetts in 1862. Sometime between 1862 and 1865 they came in Chicago, Illinois. Their next child, Josephine, was born there in 1865. Julius and his son George worked as shoemakers. They are shown in the 1880 census. Shortly after they came to Wisconsin where a son, Charles, was born in 1881. I find them in Racine, WI in 1882 & 1883. By 1900 they are living in Milwaukee, WI.
I don't know where in Canada they came from or if they were married there or in the U.S. I don't know if there was any sort of large migration between Canada and Mass during that time that could give me a clue? Any information to help me trace them back would be EXTREMELY helpful and I would be very, very thankful! :)
