What year is the Fabien Duchesneau you are looking for, cause that is my great grandfather's name, but according to my granny, he was married to a Louis Commanda....And the only names of kids I have are William and Mary Ann.

I have some information for you regarding Francois Bousquet ane Marie Mary Duchesneau. Mary was the sister to my great great grandmother, Philomene.

Mary was the fourth child and second daughter born to Charles Duchesneau and Philomene Limieux. Mary was born on August 28, 1862 in St. Dominique and died on March 9, 1940 at the age of 77 years, 6 months, and 11 days. She was baptized the day after her birth and her godparents were Pierre and Louise Duchesneau.

Mary married Francois Bousquet on September 29, 1879 at St. Dominique. Francois was born in the year 1859 and died on August 15, 1948 at 89 years old in St. Dominique.

Mary and Francois had ten children:
1. Marie Jule Emma, b. May 22, 1882, d. 1887, St. Dominique
2. Marie Eugenie Evelina, b. January 22, 1884, St. Dominque; d. 1928; m. Aime Bouthillette
3. Joseph Charles Aime, b. June 14, 1886, St. Dominque; d. in Salix, Iowa; m. Exilia Mailloux

I am a descendant of another Duchesneau family that immigrated to North Dakota from Quebec, Francois Xavier Duchesneau (1845-1931). Perhaps you can help me verify one of his ancestors. F.X's father is Charles-Marie D (1798-1878. His father is Andre Duchesneau (abt 1770-abt 1842).

I am just beginning my family search for information about my father's mother and grandparents. My father's name is Robert Mayo, married to Joan Elsie Fletcher. His father's name was Raymond Mayo (or Mailloux) and he was married to Orett Duchesneau. Orett had brothers and sisters. Their names were Lionel Duchesneau (married a woman named Alice), Henry Duchesneau (married a woman named Ruth), Norbet Duchesneau (unknown background), Norman Duchesneau, Yvette Duchesneau (Married Richard Dupuis, Rita Duchesneau (Married to a man named Andrew then to a man named Michael Michaud).

My grandfather's name was Eugene Duchesneau, born in 1900 and one of his brothers was Alfred Duchesneau. Their father was Zephir Duchesneau who married Lucie Beleau. Zephir's father was Joseph Duchesneau who married Zoe Roireau. Do any of these names sound familiar? I'm also trying to put a family tree together but this is pretty much all I have.

Hello. My grandmother's name was Ellen Duchesneau who married James Neal Palmer in Rochester, New Hampshire, in the 1920's. My grandmother had numerous brothers and sisters. Only one brother lived past the age of 21 and he was George Duchesneau who lived in Gonic, New Hampshire. The other fours brothers died young - one was premature, one at the age of 4 from drinking lye, one from whooping cough at the age of 9 months and one who fell off a barn roof at the age of 21. Some sisters married Grondin? and Gonthier? My grandmother told me she was of French and French-Canadian descent. She and her sisters and many of my second cousins would speak a French dialect when together. I know there was a French cemetery where her parents were buried, but I have never been there. My grandmother died 19 years ago so I cannot ask her any questions about our family history. Do you have any history on this Duchesneau line?

My Great Great Grandmother was Mary Anne or Marie Anne Duchesneau born August 1868. Married to John Baptiste Couchie. Both lived in North Bay/Sturgeon Falls area. Anyone doing search on the Duchesneau in Northern Ontario, or if any of this information sounds familiar, please contact me.
